While in Israel I visited some Bedouin friends of mine. Let me tell you, THEY CAN COOK. They are famous for this certain dish called either meluga or megula, I can’t exactly remember. It consists of rice, chicken and a whole load of other ingredients that I don’t even want to know being the picky eater I am. The portions were out of control since they consider it rude not to finish the entire bowl meaning each person must have at least 5 servings. Their tradition calls for eating on the floor on mattresses, very comfty.

Nothing like good home cooking!
